This year (2023) is the 40th year of operation of the Foundation – the Ruby Anniversary of Common Good. Rubies are a symbol of vitality and energy and a regeneration of physical and spiritual health. They aptly represent our journey over the past four decades - the dogged commitment and steadfast dedication by you our supporters and this Board and those before us, who have toiled over all those years to improve the physical and spiritual health of others. Together we have supported countless people in numerous communities who most need our help; we have made a real difference in people’s lives, and we have genuinely lived what it means to be Catholic – modelling our lives on Christ’s example of love and caring for one another by using our gifts and talents for the good of all. This perfectly defines the purpose of our Foundation – to care for the most vulnerable amongst us regardless of background and devoid of judgement – to be the bridge between those who have something to give and those who most need that gift. We focus our grant distributions to groups and charities those working with the most vulnerable in our communities – our children, our youth, and our elderly and those needing support through the provision such basic needs as food, shelter and at times just an ear to listen.

“Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up. So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good for all.” Galatians 6:9-11
