Tyburn Monastery Retreat Centre

Tyburn Monastery is home to the ‘Tyburn Nuns’ who spend their life Centered Around Perpetual Adoration. Located half an hour outside of Rotorua, one can visit the Monastery anytime during the day without a booking. Browse in the shop, spend time in the Chapel, attend Mass or any of the Divine Offices (see Timetable), walk Calvary hill or down to the lake to view the new 1200 redwood trees that have been planted thanks to the Bernadette Trust.

You can contact the Monastery direct to enquire about meals or accomodation, this must be booked well in advance. The diocese on occasion have retreats you can book into, any available are listed below. The cost for these are $118 per weekend, $165 for a 4 night weekday retreat and $195 for a 5 night weekday retreat.
